Question: Is my online transaction secure?
Answer: We use internet-standard SSL-encryption. Secure addresses begin with "https://" so check your browser's address bar to see that the URL begins with "https://."
Most browsers also display some kind of security "indicator." Generally this is displayed as some kind of lock at the bottom of the browser window. When this is displayed, the data sent to and from your browser is encrypted.
Question: Why does my browser's address bar say "secure.iministries.org" when I register for an event or make a donation? Should I be concerned?
Answer: No need for concern. iMinistries is our Web site partner and host.
Question: When does a donation/event payment "hit" my credit card?
Answer: Immediately.
Question: Will donations made through the Web site be included on my year-end giving report?
Answer: Yes.
Question: What should I do if I cannot hear last week's message on the Web site?
Answer:
1. Open up Windows Media Player.
2. Tools > Options.
3. Player Tab - Be sure that "Connect to the Internet" (overrides other commands) is checked.
4. Network Tab - Be sure that UDP is NOT checked.
5. Close Windows Media Player.
6. Reload the page.
If the Windows Media Player is stuck on "Connecting to Media . . . " follow these steps:
1. Right-click on the player.
2. Click on "Properties."
3. Copy entire line after "Location:" beginning with "mms." through ".wma"
4. Open Windows Media Player on your computer.
5. Click "File" and then "Open URL".
6. In the box, paste text copied in Step 3, and click "OK." The file will begin to play.
Firefox users, follow these instructions:
1. Click on Tools, and then Extensions.
2. In the pop-up box, click on "Get More Extensions."
3. The Extensions Web page will appear. In the Search box, type “Media Player Connectivity.”
4. In the search results, click on “MediaPlayerConnectivity,” and click Install on the next page.
5. Restart Firefox and go back to the Web page.
6. Click on the Play icon in the black box. Windows Media Player will pop up and begin playing the file.
7. To have Firefox automatically play the file, click Tools > MediaPlayerConnectivity > Configure > Configuration (2/2), and check Auto Play.
Mac Users, follow these instructions:
1. Download and install Flip4Mac. It is completely free and can be found
here .
2. Quit any open browser application (e.g. Explorer, Safari, Firefox).
3. Restart your browser and come back to our Web site.
4. For any additional needed support, please read the documentation that is found in your Applications > Flip4Mac folder.
Question: Some of the Flash animations on the site don't appear on my screen. How can I fix this?
Answer: While all of our Flash animations are exported for Flash player 7.0, it is best to download the latest version of Flash from
Adobe's Web site. After installation, clear out your cache and restart your browser. This fixes the issue 99% of the time.
